I was just wondering if anyone knows who will be replacing Gavin Lee in the West End's Mary Poppins. I just learned today that he's switching to the broadway production.

Gavin Lee leaves at the end of the month, i think the 29th is his last performance. He was brilliant in the show and im sure will be sadly missed, he must love the show so much as he's done the London show since it opened and has now got a contract on Broadway. I mean, extremely well done to him, im sure the show is second nature to him after all this time! Gavin Creel has a lot to live up to and must brush up on his Cockney accent!

It says on the official site
"American actor Gavin Creel will star as ‘Bert’ in Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s smash hit West End musical “MARY POPPINS” at the Prince Edward Theatre from Wednesday 26 July."

Oh right, it is a bit strange to swap cast members mid-week but yes it does say that on the site. Only 10 days left for Gavin Lee then in London
