I'm sorry, this is going to sound so dumb, but is Sondheim really gay?

"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

He's either gay or asexual.

Add nearly every chorus boy to the list.

Roger Bart and Matthew Morrison are not gay. Roger Bart is usually assumed to be because of the characters that he usually portrays but he is heterosexual, along with Matthew Morrison.

Roger Bart may be straight, but I wouldn't kick him out of my bed re: Gay Proud Theatre Folk

I wasn't sure about Morrison (hence the ? after I listed him) but he is very supportive, as is Roger Bart. So, apologies to Matthew we can IN him again.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Um...Leonard Bernstein is DEAD.

And, shouldn't this be on the off topic thread? Not REALLY theater related. OK, so I'm nit picking but it's 95 degrees and humid today and I have to pick on something

"Add nearly every chorus boy to the list."

FYI - Every chorus boy is not gay. Just because they like musical theatre does not mean a thing!

"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer

"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

That's why it's nearly every chorus boy, see.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

How about BD Wong (I know he took some heat for having a kid but ;-p) and Malcolm Gets?
