The official statement was that Daphne was pregnant during filming (true), but she also wasn't going to be convincing as nineteen.

Sigh. I love Daphne. When people complain about her voice I want to smack them. I think she has such an original emotional quality to her singing.

I feel so bad for her. At Anthony's book signing someone asked about her and Anthony told us how she was really upset. She was conflicted because the happiest moment (having her child) was coming at the same tiome as a really negative time came. She was very upset. I just felt bad because we usually get the candy coated version and he just said the truth and I wanted to hug her.

I am very happy she is doing well in Bernarda Alba. Almost as thrilled as when LaChuisa (one of my favorite composers) decided to write the music for Bernarda Alba (my favorite play).

SO I am just very excited for Daphne, robot electronics included

I adore Daphne. And I'm sad that she's bitter, but her baby's way cuter than that Rent movie was.

Keatonbynumbers no one said she was bitter, they commented on the fact she was upset and perhaps disappointed NOT bitter.

I've heard some quotes from her about it definitely came across as bitter. Wouldn't you be bitter if you had to constantly hear that you didn't look good enough? Or that you looked too old to be in the movie but your friends got to be in it? Updated On: 3/5/06 at 04:56 AM

Daphne rocks my socks off. I saw her in "Between Us" back in 2004, and it didn't take very long for me to determine that she was love. This was before my Rent obsession; I don't think I'd even dig Rent as I do now if I'd not seen her. Shocking, but true.

Uh, Angus, the article said she was "bitterly disappointed", so yeah, someone did say she was bitter.
