Hmm...
That avatar looks familiar.
Aren't there rules of avatar etiquette around here?

Like the poster a lot. I doubt I'll see the show, after seeing it several times since the original and being in it twice (John the Baptiste), but I'll most definitely buy the poster. My parents brought me to the original for making the honor roll in high school.

I don't like it. It reads too much like it's trying to be hip by putting in on brick and making it more "graffiti." And I can't really imagine it looking good on the marquee, but we'll see, I guess.

It's a good concept that is poorly Photoshopped. The curse of Photoshop is that an image can never just be what it is anymore...all surfaces have to have "realistic" textures; all people have to be photographs rather than artwork; shadows are added regardless of lighting because what the hell, they're easy enough to create. The effect is that everything just looks fake and poorly composited.

In this poster, for example, the stonework and brickwork from the wall to the ground is overwhelming, the lighting of the man doesn't match the rest of the poster, and the shadow is entirely unconvincing. Could have been more fresh and effective as simple, graphic, 2-D artwork. But oh well.
