Joseph Macchia brings you the next installment of Gone Too Soon, Now and Forever an evening of Howard Ashman.
Howard Ashman's lyrics inspired generations to believe in magic with shows and films such as Little Shop of Horrors, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and the first animated film to receive an Academy Award Best Picture nomination, Beauty and the Beast.
2016 will mark 25 years since Howard died of AIDS related complications at the age of 40. To commemorate the anniversary, Joseph Macchia and Adam B. Shapiro will present this tribute to Howard's life and work as the first 2016 installment of the Metropolitan Room's GONE TOO SOON series.
Shapiro will host the show, with musical direction by Yasuhiko Fukuoka.

I adore Howard Ashman like I adore oxygen, but I didn't buy tickets for this when I first saw it listed the other day. First of all, why is it titled "Now and Forever?" Is it Cats? Howard was all about words and specificity. And Is there any talent involved? Just got a sketched amateur vibe from the site.
