Good Pictures of Interesting Sets

Posted: 4/14/09 at 4:38pmI'm doing a project in my Mod. World History class on the development of theaters over the years, and for the end slide I wanted to have pictures of interesting and innovative sets from the past century... and I can't find any. So if you have any pictures of awesome sets, post them here (I'd love some Sondheim and some MacDermot sets- they're always the most interesting =) ). Much love!

There are large coffee table books of the careers of Boris Aronson (published late 80s-early 90s) and Jo Melziner (spelling is incorrect and this was published in the 60s). Both are probably out of print but find them at abebooks.com (a comprehensive used book site) or in a library.
Both of these volume have a huge portfolio of these designers' work. The Aronson book is by Frank Rich and Melziner wrote his own I believe.
There are sets to Sondheim-written shows, but most of them are designed by Aronson or Eugene Lee. Give credit where it is due.
