Hi Everyone!
I have a situation, and I hope I can explain it well: I've been working backstage for a local production of 'Annie', and it was supposed to close on the 23rd, but got a week long hold over. One of the boylen sisters(who also plays the star to be, maid, and hooverville person) can't be in town for the hold over and the director has asked me to audition this evening to take over the role of that boylen sister. The star to be is like one of my dream roles even though it's really small, but supposdly the director has already asked the asst. director to take over the star to be role. I take voice lessons from the musical director so I know that I have the boylen sister role in the bag, but do you think I should atleast offer to sing 'NYC' for them tonight so they can hear me, and tell them that I am willing to take over all of the girls roles, or do you think I should just get over it? I hope that wasn't too confusing haha.

No question. Go for it!
Who knows when you'll get another chance like that? And besides - its always good to show directors what you are capable of.
Let us know how it goes!
