"Ever since posters went up around town advertising new lead Tom Cavanagh, known for playing the title character on the television series Ed, box office has been booming. Last week the show was at 97.31% capacity on average. While the tuner is in the Underdog category in terms of gross, at $318,347, the box office performance is favorable when house size and ticket prices are taken into consideration."
Is great to see as a fan of Tom's and Urinetown! How long is he in for?

Thats a joke. At the full scale prices why wouldn't the box office be up?
Your for a better, and more accessible, Broadway!
Wonder when the producers will try & push the envelope & raise the $ 100 price of a ticket. How long will it be before people revolt & say enough is enough ?
Gosh! It's hard to believe that theatre tickests used to be 15.00!

I think we have said enough. There are currently only a very few shows that get over $100 a ticket (Hairspay, The Producers, Lion King, Nine, maybe one or two others sometimes) without discounts. The entertainment industry will allways charge what the market will bear. Compared to concerts, sports, and Las Vegas shows, Broadway remains a bargain. To help keep these shows afforable, shop around: check broadwaybox.com, also playbill.com and this site offer discount codes for many shows. Sports, concerts, and Vegas are allmost allways all full price, but with NY theatre at least you can shop around.

Theatre is cheaper than concerts? Over here you pay about £27 for a concert and up to £50 for the theatre.
