All I can say is...WOW.

WHAT A WOMAN! WHAT A STORY! If you were to look up the word "theatre" in the dictionary you would see Elaine Stritch's picture next to it. She embodies everything of a Broadway legend. A standby for Ethel Merman, a television/movie actress, a woman with a wit and comedic timing as fresh as any of the great geniuses of comedy...and the woman can still sing!

Her performances of "I'm Still Here," "Zip," and "Here's to the Ladies Who Lunch" are phenomenal. She made me laugh hysterically and cry so much I couldn't decifer between the two. What an amazing life this woman has had. I only wish I had been priviledged enough to have seen this show live. I am not surprised she took the TONY and the Emmy for this performance. Even though I am a huge fan of Bea Arthur (and am seeing her show live next month)...I can tell that Elaine truly deserved this award.

May she continue to grace the stage and the screen for many more years. I would love to see her come back to Broadway in something. She is a woman who strikes me as being a performer who never quits. She kind of reminds me of the great Uta Hagen, she also kept on working in the theatre right up until the end. I can't stop praising this woman or this performance. This is a video I will treasure forever. I've already watched it three times...talk about a woman who deserves a theatre named after her.

If you're referring to "At Liberty," you are totally right. Amazing show.

I love the Marlon Brando part.

I saw this on Broadway the night she had her hypoglycemic attack and they had to hold the curtain for about 25 minutes - she tried to start the show a few times and kept getting sick - so she drank her juice, rested for a while and came back with all barrels loaded - it was possibly the most entertaining night I ever experienced in the theatre - she is the true definition of a Broadway Star, in my book.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I agree wholeheartedly. I saw her live from the front row and she blew me a way. could kick the asses off some of the actresses on bway today (no offense).

and check out the legs on that woman! ridiculous that she should still have those in addition to the voice, energy, and attitude. I love her.

Have a nice day!
