For anyone curious.
GOTTA DANCE, a new musical, is currently in previews here in Chicago at the Bank of America Theatre. Planning to come to Broadway next fall. I saw their 2nd preview last night. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's a super fun musical which I think people will love. For a second preview, it's in pretty good shape, with just a few moments that need to be touched upon, and a closing number which I personally feel needs a big overhaul.
Georgia Engel steals the show, and don't be surprised if she's a frontrunner for Best Supporting Actress at the Tony's next years.
It's a really lovely time, and I'm excited for New Yorkers to see it (also, I'm aware how this post totally sounds like I'm part of the production. I'm really not, I'm just a theatre-lover out here in Chicago who wanted to share thoughts on this).
