I was looking at the seating chart at the Gramercy Theatre for an upcoming event.
There are three kinds of seating: General Admission, Reserved VIP, and Reserved Loge VIP.

It appears that the GA seats are closer to the stage than the more expensive reserved seats. Has anyone here been to that venue? How does the seating work? Thanks.

The General Admission tickets aren't seats. It's standing room. For some events, the venue will put seats the quality of folding chairs out & number the chairs & rows and sell the entire venue as Reserved Seating.
They did that for Russell Crowe's Indoor Garden Party in October of last year.
Thanks. It seems odd that SRO is in front of reserved seating. But that does seem to be the case here. Is there an angle to the theater? I'm considering the reserved.

The reserved seats are kind of far back & elevated. If you've ever been in the Ziegfeld Movie Theater, think of the rear seating/sort-of balcony seats there; they are set back & set up like stadium seating. The Gramercy is a whole lot smaller than the Ziegfeld, so the distance from those seats to the stage isn't as great as the distance of the rear seats @ the Z from the screen.
These photos from NY Mag might explain it better.
