Thank God for video! The remarks here encouraged me to investigate further and I have such antic-ipation now for Encores.

And as wonderful as Brent Barrett was at the Tonys, David Carroll was nominated for the Tony that year but was too ill to perform, so Michael Jeter did it with BB; and Brent continued on with the role for a while.

This video of the entire show (obviously not in English) is a recreation of the Tommy Tune production. I've cued it up to my favorite part. "Who Couldn't Dance With You". Keep your eye on the chorus in the background. Tommy Tune has a brilliant theatrical imagination.
