Grease Audition Posts on Playbill

Found them on the Playbill job listing sites and noticed that they're operating under an AFTRA contract, not standard Broadway ones. I'm assuming AFTRA is television. Can anyone shed more insight?

Looks rehearsals start in April 2007..so I guess we can expect it in May?

AFTRA, if I'm correct, is the American Federation of Television and Radio artists, and the reason why they're conducting some contracts uder AFTRA is because of the reality show, "You're The One That I Want," which will air next year. They'll be searching for Danny and Sandy via reality TV...it just gets better every day folks. Anyway, telling by the title of the tv show, they'll be losing the more original, enjoyable song "All Choked Up," for the film tune "You're The One that I Want." Not that the former is a masterpiece by any stretch, it's still a little more interesting. Anyway, sorry to ramble on...

This is so very sad.

I will say that I saw the London production of Grease that this production is being based on and enjoyed it very much. In fact, I enjoyed it more than the Broadway revival in 1994.

That's not saying much. The '94 revival was horrendous.
