Grease question

I read on another message board that last night was also Matt Saldivar's last night as Kenickie in Grease. Anyone got any confirmation of this? I know it was Max and Laura's last night. I hadn't heard about Matt leaving so soon.

I had heard a rumor he would leave in Sept. That is what I meant by so soon.

I'm assuming you're referring to the Grease message board where I posted my thoughts on last night's performance of Grease. Last night was, indeed, Matt's final performance. I first heard it from Robyn Hurder and later from Matt himself. I have no idea who is taking over for him.

Yes, it was the Grease message board. There is a Goodbye thread. I was surprised because it seemed so sudden.

And no coverage. Even the article here on BWW is all about Laura & Max's departure, and nothing was said about Matt.

There's no link and I don't have anything in print to back me up. Last night at the Grease stage door Robyn said she was said about losing three cast members. I asked her who the third was and she said it was Matt. Then later Matt came out and we chatted about it. That's really as much as I know.

I was tempted to ask more questions about it but I didn't know what they could or wanted to tell me so I decided not to push it.

Are you sure they didn't mean Jenny Powers? I know they have a new Rizzo.
