Great B'Way DVDs--buy 2/get 1 free!

Hey guys! I haven't seen this posted on the boards in the past few days, so I figured I'd put it up here.

I got an email from Deep Discount DVD last week talking about this buy 2/get 1 special that they're having now through February 5th. The DVDs are $9.48 each....and free shipping! That's three DVDs for under twenty bucks...not too bad!

There are three pages of movies and I was surprised to see a few musicals on there! They had musicals such as "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemid=MCA022615), "Sweet Charity" (http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemid=MCA022616), "Jesus Christ Superstar" (http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemid=MCA025786), and, while it isn't a musical, "Connie and Carla" is also on the list (http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemid=MCA023860).

They have a lot of other movies as well, from older films such as "That Funny Feeling" to newer films such as "Love Actually" and "Lost in Translation."

you'll find three pages of DVDs that are on sale. Sometimes the shipping is a little slow and can take up to two weeks depending on where you live and where it ships from, but I've always gotten my packages and been more than happy with the results. I often go to this site to buy stuff because it's so cheap--a couple months ago I got the complete series of Buffy on sale for $111 when everyone else was selling it for about $170! ....too bad they don't have season 2 of Lois and Clark cheaper than anyone else does just yet. *le sigh*

Anyway, thought I would share such jewels with my fellow theatre buffs [and just plain fellow video lovers!].


Sorry for rambling...it's almost 2 a.m. and my brain SHOULD be tired, but it isn't...so I'm merely loopy at this time of night. >.<

The Thoroughly Modern Millie movie isn't a musical. It is the movie that the musical is based on.

Oh really? I could have sworn there had been music in it when I saw it...then again, I watched the video a really long time ago. Plus, I thought that TMM w/Sutotn Foster had been a revival a few years back for some reason. Oh well. It just goes to show how stupid I am!! Thanks for pointing out the error! Sorry to everyone led to believe this had music in it!!

They STILL offer that GREAT Sondheim Carnegie Hall DVD for only $3.99 people!! That's free shipping, too! YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG IN BUYING IT. Just to watch Karen Ziemba sing "Sooner or Later" is worth it.

But then you also have Liza and Bernie and Daisy Egan and so many others!

Thoroughly Modern Millie with Julie Andrews IS a musical...hence the bursting out in song...

Sondheim at Carnegie Hall for only $3.99?!? Damn. I just bought it off Ebay for $8.00 and I thought that was cheap...
