The Lola Damn Yankees entrance mentioned above was the first one to come to my mind. Seeing her leg come up through the floor was so funny.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Hedwig's entrance reminded me of a simpler version of The Divas and Felicia's entrance in Priscilla.

The entrance of the ensemble in 42nd STREET. The anticipation that the raising of the red curtain to knee-height to reveal two dozen tap-dancing gypsies is quite a thrill.

Godot also has a highly-anticipated entrance and it is great!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Godot, or a man claiming to be him, finally shows up in the cult novel/app/video game "Phoenix Wright: Justice for All," as a coffee-chugging, Twin Peaks quoting prosecutor on flamboyant life support.

That's like A Funny Thing Happened on the Way To the Forum. During the song Comedy Tonight, they do a lot of fancy curtain work raising and lowering it.
