All I wanna know is:
When's the DVD coming out?

KCET has been pulling crap like this for years. I stopped contributing to them in the early 80's when they decided that "Live From the Met", which aired everywhere else in the country LIVE at 8PM on Wednesdays, was much more properly suited to be aired in Los Angeles (second biggest market in the country) at...1PM on Sunday afternoons (what part of LIVE are they so unwilling to comprehend??).
Their particular mentality still boggles me to this day.

I'd love it if they put this out in Blu-ray as well. I'm definitely looking forward to the HD broadcast.

According to the information here http://www.image-entertainment.com/dvd/detail.cfm?productID=67766
it IS coming out in BluRay.
Special features include interviews with John Doyle, Raúl Esparza, and an Audience with Sondheim.
How appropriate. One generally has an "audience" with the Pope. Or God.

can't wait to see this! the only thing i don't like is all the camera cuts they have. i prefer seeing the whole stage and then being able to chose what i want to focus on, but then i guess it would just look wierd to keep a camera on the entire stage for the whole program

And what about region code of the DVD??
I watched the video preview and it looks fantastic!

It looks like only Region 1 for now. But you do know that virtually every DVD player (player, not recorder) that is made can be hacked to make it region free? Just google "dvd region free" and the model of your player and you'll get lost of hits.

It's not even playing on PBS in Dallas-Fort Worth. They say "Maybe in April".

What's MOST annoying is that this has happened before - and it always seems to be a "Great Performances" issue.
Anyway, so how WAS it???
