Didn't Sondheim do Mary Poppins as a project for Oscar Hammerstein, would be interesting to hear how it compared to the Sherman Brothers songs as well as Stiles and Drewe but i doubt Sondheim or Disney/Cameron Mackintosh would allow it to come to light.
