I know of many flops that had a great score but a lousy book and/or production.
Are there any that had a great book but lousy score?

Really? Anyone Can Whistle? I have heard pretty much nothing but that the book for that was such an incoherent, drug-fuelled mess that it destroyed the show, despite it's great score.

II've read it and it's not perfect but it's amusing, subversive, and original which makes it a great flop book imo.

With Irma you gotta do something!
