While Spamalot is not the quintensential musical theater piece, it is loads of fun. It was worth the ridiculous price we paid for tickets. If you are a Python fan, you will love it... if you aren't such a Python fan, you'll still love it. It was absolutely the most fun I've had at a show ever. It was like the audience and the actors were all there for fun together. The energy was wild.

At the stage door, all 3 of the "famous" leads- Hank Azaria, the amazing Tim Curry and David "Niles" Hyde Pierce in addition to Chris Sieber and one or two others, were unbelieveably nice and accomodating to the large croud waiting. All 3 went around slowly signing for every person that stuck something out and took pictures for everyone who asked. They all seemed so genuinely appreciative of the fans, of the praise they were given and that we loved the show. It took them all of maybe 10 minutes to get to everyone; it didn't seem that difficult and the fans were very appreciative and polite. I think many other stars can learn a thing or two about being a 'mensch' from this cast.
Kudos to those actors for being down to earth and cool as hell and giving us a great, fun night.

Sara Ramirez didn't come out, but she was amazing... she was something trully unique on Broadway.

Glad you had a good time, it really is alot of fun. I didn't even know what Monty Python was when I went but I had a great time. Yeah, the guys are really nice and take their time. I hope Sara doesn't skip out on the stage door alot b/c I want to see her the next time I go. She's something, huh?

Glad you had a great time, both inside and outside the theatre! I too had a fabulous time at the show - just tons of fun - and did the stage door thang as well. I didn't see any of the supporting cast (Chris Sieber and Christian Borle made hasty exits; didn't see Sara Ramirez or Michael McGrath come out), but all three leads did come out and, as you said, were wonderfully patient and gracious. They signed for everyone; it was great to see all those happy fans. re: Great knight at Spamalot

Even though Sara is fabulous, I have heard accounts of her ducking the stage door fans. Hmm...

Did you go last night? Because I went to the matinee and Azaria had an understudy, grrr.

At the matinee, Curry and Pierce and Ramirez didn't come out, but Borle was actually leaving and signed a few on the side, and Steve Rosen, Michael McGrath and Chris Sieber all came out just to sign for us and went back in, very nice of them.

I gotta make it back to the stage door at one point to get some of the leads.

"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

They all came out when I went (Azaria, Curry, Pierce, Sieber, Borle, McGrath, and Ramirez), and Sara Ramirez was incredibly nice (all of them were). I haven't heard too many accounts of her avoiding the stage door.

I went last night- Wed night. I bet Hank Azaria was in (after being out at the matinee) because Nancy Reagan was there. Nancy I think got the house seats I was supposed to get and we ended up in Row S instead. Would have liked to be closer, but still guess I should be grateful I got tickets at all.
