Hey Ali!
And speeking of thinking of Greg, I was at a store earlier today and they had an entire section of things from Paris. Lots of Eiffel tower figures and things. It made me think of Greg.
I was in my Bio of HIV/AIDS class today and we watched a video. There were a lot of scientists talking, on of which was named Ruth Ruprecht. I laughed. Probably too much.
And I saw a car in the parking lot of school whose license plate started with 'DRS...'
Boys are jackasses.
That is all.
Actually.
No it's not.
Jason Gillman (of DRS) is in the latest Legally Blond Video thingy.
He's pretty funny.
I quite like him a lot.
Now, that it all.
I'm seeing the tour of RENT tonight. I'm stoked. It's going to be so much fun and I cannot wait to see Harley and Declan again. No stage dooring though.

Seriously, when his are was around me I almost fainted. I was front row last time I saw it too, right in front of Harley during Seasons of Love.
I'm so happy it was great, though I'm not surprised. I'd give anything to see this cast again. That's awesome that they walked right in front of you! And I think Declan changes hair frequently.
I should edit my post but I'll just post again. Actually I wasn't front row. This theatre doesn't have a pit. Well they do but they had these huge planks of...something covering it up. Then three rows of chairs sitting on top (you could feel the vibrations and your chair moving all night from the music, it was really cool) with a black curtain seperating the chairs from the front row of the Orchestra. My seat was the third row of the set up chairs on the end. Same as you though, right infront of Harley for SoL. It was such an odd set up but I really felt like I was VIP, with the seperating curtain and all.
Ali: That's amazing that you're already half way there. Congrats! And Spelling Bee is such a cute, fun show. I loved it.
I watched the TV Land awards just to see the comercials with Greg throughout. How sad is that? But, it was neat to see Greg on TV in something new; even if it was only for 30 seconds at a time, three times.
It was strange to see him with dark hair though, but he looks good.

Hey, y'all! Tonight, May 8th! THE UNIT ... CBS ... 9 PM Eastern ... Greg guest stars.
xoxo Barb
lmao Liz. I had read that in your myspace before. It's great. Very true. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with any of that stuff any more.
Damn my professors for giving me so much HW that I completly forgot about watching The Unit. It'll be replayed eventually though and I'll catch it then.
Thanks for the tip Barb. I'll go and watch it now.
hey guys. i just now found part 5 of this lovely thread and actually have time to post. how is everyone doing?
p.s. i saw jason gillman in legally blonde this past week. and he was fabulous as always.
DRE: awesomeness! did you enjoy the show? it was very.... pink, is the only word to describe it.
as for Andrew Asnes... the boy has been keeping himself busy with Legally Blonde. he's one of the associate producers for it. at least that's what it says in the playbill. he needs to get back on the stage.
I never say Ben go on at all for any role but I can tell you that he only ever went on for Anthony and The beatle. Manoel never missed a performance.
I have heard audios of Eakeley for both those roles though and thought he sounded fantastic so I can only assume his performance as a whole was great as well.
Hello Annie and Mamie. Great to see people still hanging around here.
Anyway, since the Tonys are today a friend and I are going to the movies to see that Broadway documentary Show Business. Avenue Q and Alan Cumming, what could be better?
I'm pretty excited to see it after waiting 3 years to do so and will let you all know what I thought of it.
That sounds wonderful Dre! I'm so glad things are going so well for you and Amanda in the entertainment field. It's wonderful that you have these great opportunities.
I had such a good time meeting all you guys at the Imperial. I have many, many wonderful memories of those times. And particularly wonderful memories of the cam. Looking to see who would stop by, watching Greg downing lunch while highlighting the mole, those Olympic tumbles off the chair, a million monkeys, the roving cam, all of it. I was back in NY about 3 weeks ago and stopped at the D&D across from the stage door. Coram Boy was playing but there wasn't a single decoration on the back of that theatre. Greg and Joanna's photo frames were empty, no mural across the back doors, nothing. It was really very dismal and sad.
ANYWAY - we did get some wonderful memories thanks to that beautiful big heart of Mr. Jbara and maybe, if we keep our fingers crossed, we'll get a chance to see him there again. I know I'm hoping!
Happy 2 years to our thread!....even if it is 10 days late.
You think that's weird Dre, just wait till you have friends that you graduated with that do get married, divorced and have children. One friend alone has done all three of those. Now that's weird.
I'm seeing Harry Potter at midnight. I'm super excited.
Edit: Just got back from the movie. It was very good though the ending pissed me off.
I completly agree Dre. The movie seamed very rushed. They could have done better if they had taken the few extra minutes to explaine some parts, especially Tonks. She's a huge part of the next book and to never really give her character the introduction and explination of who she is will be bad for the next film. It was good though and I'll be seeing it a few more times for sure.
Leaving for the theater to see Hairspray. I'm excited.
So, I'm going to NYC for the day on August 20th for my firends birthday. We'll be seeing Spring Awakening. I'm pumped.

So I got back from NYC yesterday. That was the best trip ever.
DISCLAIMER: If you want coherent show reviews, don't read. K great. And I guess I may flub and there could be spoilers. But yall probably know anything that I would spoil. So yeah.
Anyway I saw Legally Blonde, Rent, Spring Awakening, and A Chorus Line. In three days. *ahem* Truly, heaven must feel like this.
So yeah. Legally Blonde was a lot better than I thought! Everyone was excellent. Whoever normally plays Elle's dad wasn't in so I saw Jason Gillman perform that role! I forgot how great he is. I love him. The show was so cute, Christian Borle won my heart. The man is amazingly talented.
Everyone was great at the stage door, Orfeh and Andy Karl didn't come out, but really people not coming out at the stage door doesn't bother me. It's their choice.
I was waiting for Jason Gillman after Laura Bell Bundy came out, but a lot of people were leaving so I went to an ensemble guy and asked him if he knew if Jason was still there and he pulled his cell phone out and called him for me! Noah Weisberg officially became my favorite person in the show. Noah's side of the convo went something like this, "Hey Gillman, where are you? You have a pretty little lady waiting for you out here... She saw you in Scoundrels and thought you were great... Yeah you have a fan! One fan! that counts for something man! Are you here?" He wasn't, but he said he appreciated it. Noah rocks my world. So does his hair.
RENT-
One word. Phenomenal. Anthony and Adam are amazing. All of those words started with an "A." Seriously, I was in awe the whole show. I don't know what else to say... ask questions if you have any.
The stage door was packed, but I didn't get pushed around nearly as much as I thought I would. I managed to get a spot at the front of the barricades and my mom was behind me... that could be a reason I had space... she was creating it by pushing back lol...I was at the corner of the front of Anthony's car and the barricade so when he made it to the corner he was in front of me for about ten minutes. He loved the pictures I asked him to sign.. it was talked at Florida State Uni. when he spoke there. He's so cute. And he's the sweetest person alive.
Adam didn't come out but once again, I'm okay with that. Bummed, but not mad.
Spring Awakening.
If I was ranking these four shows, this one wins. I could have DIED in it. My heart was doing flips, I cried like a baby, and my legs never stopped moving with the music. I was probably really annoying to sit next to. I went to the show alone, and I'm really happy I did... I don't like crying next to people I know... I am really officially in love with John Gallagher, Jr. He is so amazing. His voice just.. it captivates me. I feel so privilege to have gotten the chance to see this cast perform. The only person out was Jonathan B. Wright, but Matt Doyle was excellent. The way Moritz's suicide is staged and his funeral... it killed me. It was a masterpiece. I loved the show.
Everyone was so gracious at the stage door, by far my favorite cast to see out there. I love them all.
A Chorus Line
First of all I'm pissed because Jason Tam isn't in my Playbill. I saw his next to last performance and Bryan Knowlton was already in the Playbill instead of him. Jason Tam rocked my world. The cast was brilliant and I loved it. And that's all I really have to say about them.
They were all excellent at the stage door as well.
And then I saw Chris Noth walk down the street.
And then we went back to LB to get a picture with Noah and Orfeh and Andy Karl were signing so I got pictures with them also. And with Noah.
Right then ask any questions you want, I'll answer! WHOO!
And I may post all of my pictures on Flickr or something similar.
Congragulations to Joe. That's great news; though, like Cat, I was hoping he'd still be with Feeling Electric (I hate the name 'Next to Normal').
Leaving for NYC in about 2 hours. I'll tell you about it when I'm back.
