I'm going to New York this summer, but was only allowed to buy seats for two shows and then I have to find other ways to get tickets to other shows. I really want to see Grey Gardens, but I chose to find other ways to buy the seats. I figured I'd rush, but there's two of us (one is too old to rush for themself) and they only give you one seat per ID. So my question is there any other way to get reasonably priced day-of tickets to Grey Gardems? Thanks!
You could always get the balcony seats.
I haven't been up there in years, but I believe that they are about $36. It's not a great view, it's not comfortable, and the seats are very high.
So perhaps you can but them, then complain to an usher that your mother has vertigo or soemething. They will let you move down to the mezz if there are seats.
You can look at broadwaybox.com or playbill.com for discounted tickets.

Thanks! I might try the Balcony thing. Except I'm going with my grandmother so I'm not sure how she'd fare in the balcony. If I were to go to the box office the day of, would they generally have at least one seat open in the orchestra or mezz? Because if so, I'm sure my grandmother would be willing to buy one of those for herself and I could get rush. Or is listed on TKTS often?
There are always seats in the orchestra and mezzanine if you're willing to pay.
It's on TKTS every night I think, but you can't request your seats, so you might not sit together.

It wouldn't be much of a problem if it were only a full-price seat for one of us. And not sitting together isn't a problem, just as long as we can find each other after the show. Thanks so much!
Well, hopefully it will win the Tony and it'll start selling out every night, but that won't happen. I think TKTS is your best bet, or discount codes, or just paying full price. Friends of mine have said those balcony seats are terrible. It's not just the view, it's the height.
We saw GG recently and sat in the mezzanine. The view was great, but I should tell you that it's a very steep walk down the aisle to the seats in the mezz. Just a caution in case your grandmother has any difficulty walking or has a problem with heights/vertigo--it's steep in the mezz. as well as the balcony (on the other hand, the steepness makes the sight lines excellent--you are well above the people in front of you, so there's no blocking of the view if someone tall sits there.)
There also is very little leg room, so I think a larger-sized or taller person might be quite uncomfortable unless they were on the aisle.
