Honest to god, she said that directly to me after the show when I ask her about the possibility of a transfer. I had talked to Sara before and she said that that was the buzz but she hadnt heard anything deffinate. But Ebersole said it IS going to be transfered to Broadway, no ifs ands or buts. Trust me, I was estatic!
I say from her lips to gods ears!

Honestly, that is exactly what I was told. I am sorry I have no hard proof for you because it was a conversation. I was going to post the news but because I had no article so I didnt want to get torn apart. I do however, have the playbill I got signed by everyone and my picture with Ebersole and Gettlefinger if that will make you guys believe me more. I will post them when I get home from school.
I am guessing that the cast would stay the same, and that hopefully there will be an announcement soon.

Now, would this transfer be for this season or next?
I LOVE the show, but the only chance in hell it has the have a profitable and healthy run would be if it snagged some Tony noms and wins.
The only viable option for this season seems like to transfer to the Barrymore Theatre, have one week of previews and open (which doesn't even seem really viable).

Posted: 4/27/06 at 10:50amOh, I know, but, in all honesty, they really need the push from the Tonys to help sell it, and if they wait to long to transfer, it will loose all it's buzz...

Wouldn't it be just the darndest thing if they moved into the Barrymore on Monday and made the Tony deadline?
Impossible I know, but it sure would spice up the season.
I know Patti would be especially happy.
(Now...if they record it today, they could, in theory, get it all mixed and pressed over the weekend, right? And then they could have it in stores next week so I COULD HAVE IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, uh, right?
)
