I know that it goes on sale over the Internet on Tuesday, I was just wondering if it is/will be available at the Kerr. I see the show next week and would like to purchase a copy.

whoa! you are correct TomMonster. i did buy the off-broadway recording. touche.
This so so funny because I went to Borders lasy night and thought I was buying the new CD as well
They'll probably wait until they sell out of the Off Broadway CD because if they have both, few would buy the older one.
No. They will release the new one as advertised. When the old ones sell out that will be the end. They'll be collector's items, so buy one now!!
FYI, I was told that they are using the graphic of Little Edie with the hand mirror for the new CD cover. So that should help you distinguish between the Original Off-BCR and the OBCR.
Does anyone have the link regarding the new one?

Does anyone know why Audrey Twitchell didn't move to Broadway? I'm just curious. There's so much talk about Sara, but no one really mentions Audrey.
I think it was because Audrey grew too fast.

Ah. She does look a ton older than Kelsey. She looks way more like Sarah.
A collectors' item is born ...?
From PS website: As the cast has changed since last spring, they re-recorded a large chunk of the other numbers as well. We’re proud to be unveiling the Original Broadway Cast Recording of GREY GARDENS later this month; there’s no official “street date,” as stores will simply begin stocking the new CD once supplies of the old CD run out. (And the old CD will indeed go out of print, so if you want it and don’t yet own it, buy it now!)
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Hmm, didn't I just say that?

Audrey Twitchell was fantastic & a really nice person as well, but she did grow almost two feet taller during the off-broadway run &, uh, developed some womanly attributes.
i'd love to see her get another role, she's got a lot of personality!

Ha Ha Ha, Norn, I love you. Audrey didn't grow 2 feet, she simply started out close in height to Sarah Hyland and by the end of the run, Audrey had grown to the same height. Over the summer Audrey hit 5'4" and I know her well, she really hasn't grown those "Womanly attributes" She is still super skinny, and I miss her as Lee. She and Sarah had a great chemistry as sisters on and off the stage. Darn her for growing past Sarah. Kelsey is cute, and they hired short for Lee so there'd be growing room, so as not to replace often since Sarah is not going to get much taller being 16 and all. Audrey is modleling now, signed with a big modeling agency. Love you Audrey!

But will the OOBCR still be availible on iTunes?
My wife and I attended this weekend and the show is still as strong as ever. Dale was in for Mary Louise and she was stellar. Everyone is doing a super job. My wife commented on Kelsey and said "Don't you just want to take her home? She's so cute."
The off-Broadway GREY GARDENS is on sale at PS CLassics website for $4.95. They are clearing out the old stock to make way for the new.
