Did anyone see last night's (Saturday 12/23 8 PM)performance of Grinch? Understudy Katie Micha went on in place of Nicole Bocchi! If anyone saw it let me know how it went! Thanks!

yes i was at the performance, let me say katie has alot more potential than nicole because when i saw nicole she just didnt sing because she was sick i went backstage at met katie because my friend martin is the standby for the old max, katie was very cute, she is so thin though but she can sing also dance well to! at first i thought it was nicole but then katie is much skinnier than nicole and her facwe apperance was different, katie went on on 11/30 too at the 11 am show as did martin van treuren for the old max

When I read this I thought that Patrick Page had finally missed a show of this demanding schedule. But just like the Energizer Bunny he goes on and on. If Im not mistaken didnt he have an excellent attendance record in Lion King?

Well there go any Tony chances for THE GRINCH.

It's nice to see that ktennenbaum and marypoppsfan!, two posters who just happened to have joined a day apart, so beautifully agree on this specific subject. Must be one of the coincidences that Christmas brings!

Actually if you go back a bit in time I've been a poster for a while on broadwayworld. I use my full name because I have nothing to hide. I joined when my granddaughter was cast in "The Grinch", but it's been months not just a few days. I asked the question because Katie Micha is my granddaughter and I missed her one performance as Cindy Lou. Just wanted to see if anyone had an opinion. In fact if you read my post you would see that I didn't post an opinion, I asked for one, and I specifically asked for an opinion of the performance not a comparison between the two performers. I happen to think Nicole Bocchi does an extremely nice job. Don't know who the Marpops poster is. Also don't know what any of this has to do with the Tonys!

Sorry marypoppsfan but Katie Micha only did the 8 PM show on Saturday Dec. 23rd. She only had a 1/2 hour notice that she was doing the role at that show. Nicole Bocchi was not ill for the 11 AM performance and gave her usual solid performance at that time.

I saw The Grinch a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was alright, I forget what cast I had.

This is kinda of funny, the boy who played Boo-Who in the cast I saw, I forget what his name is but he's African American, anywho, I had never heard him speak and when I saw them perform on Today and the Thanksgiving Day Parade, I thought with the way he was dressed and all that he was a girl. When I saw it and heard him speak, I turned to my mom and whisper, "That's a boy????". He didn't look like a guy, especially with the hair, he looked like a little girl. It was so weird.
