Don’t expect to hear and Sondheim or Schwartz its be more like Zepplin and Joplin as some of Broadways biggest talents sing some of Rocks greatest songs.
We all know what it takes to be a rock star... awesome pipes... a dazzling, sexy stage presence... the knack for holding an audience in the palm of your hand and whipping them into an emotional frenzy. Hey -- that's exactly what it takes to be a Broadway star, too. This show lets you in on Broadway’s dirty little secret, its stars love to go unscripted for a night and let loose with the kind of music they never get to sing on stage.
GUILTY PLEASURES will be performed as part of NYMF 2005

Back by popular demand John Hill is back in his One Man Show Whiskers on Kittens. After a Sold-Out engagements in July and August, John returns to take you on a magical and majestical jaunt filled with laughs, tears, and statutory rape. You know him from....well, you probably don't, but who cares, come see one of the most promising "young" stars of tomorrow as he tells you a tale of the heart. A show for all seasons, a show for all ages, a show that will make his mom very, VERY disappointed. The man who was called "somewhat convincing" by the New York Times and "hunky" by the New York Post returns to the New York stage with a vigor, passion, and a dedication to his fanbase that may or may not exist. Get your rear in gear and get your tickets pronto.
“This was no ordinary "cabaret" - in fact, there are no real words to describe John's show - a combination of the absurd and Spalding Grey - mixed with appropriate songs when necessary.”
“It takes a certain amount of brilliance to be that touched in the head and unashamed to share the fruits of the absurdity that is your brain function.”
JOHN HILL in WHISKERS ON KITTENS will be performed as part of NYMF 2005

Posted: 9/12/05 at 7:05pmIs that the final lineup for Guilty Pleasures? There's a few people I remember being on it that aren't anymore, though it's still a great bunch!
