I am new on this message board, so excuse me for any inappropriate-ness I may concieve. I am trying out for a small production of Guys and Dolls, trying for the part of Sarah Brown. I was wondering if anyone has been in this musical and can help me with my audition. Thanks!!

I have. I love this show. Its probably one of the top 10 best ever. Sarah is very brave and stern on the outside, yet deep down she is very soft and loving. Sky is the only one who can bring that out in her. She's what you'd call a dynamic character in High School. Sing something high, but not too high. Sing something slow. A love song is usually the best.

And don't forget you have to act drunk in act one! Any reason you are going for Sarah rather than Adelaide? Usually it's the other way round. (Just curious - they are BOTH great parts!)

I'm going for Sarah, because I just don't think I could pull of that sort of New Jersey accent through the whole production. But she would be a very fun part to play!
