*GASP!* WHAT? How did I not know this?! I'll be back in Florida the end of next month and that ride had BETTER be open. I have been to the Magic Kingdom 37 times and have never once not gone on that ride first. I won't go at all if it's closed.

It's been at the Lunt-Fontanne, Gershwin, Winter Garden, Marquis, Minskoff, St. James, Imperial, Empire, Knickerboker, and Civic Repatory.

Cathy Rigby launches her new (and final) National Tour this September. It is hoped for, and very likely, that this will be headed for Broadway in late 2005 or early 2006. The tour ends in August of 2005.

www.mccoyrigby.com for tour information.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Who will take over for Rigby after this tour?

Yes, I always head to Peter Pan's Flight first. When we hit Fantasyland, this is where we go.

Small World is good, very relaxing. But I need earplugs, I cannot stand the song after it gets repeated for the first time.

Yep, Matt... its not scheduled to re-open until the spring of 2005.

Here's a link with info. We are pissed too, but gotta get our Dis fix. We are going in 2 weeks, and then again for our annual Thanksgiving trip.

Rigby would do the Broadway run.

The exciting part is WHERE WILL THE SHOW GO FROM THERE!!?

After Rigby retires the tights (although she may still produce), what will happen? Will we see a different rendition of the musical move in? Will the same Leigh/Charlap version be revived with a new actress (or ACTOR!!)?

Will the tradition of a female Peter Pan be broken?! I cannot wait to hear about plans for the next production.

Until then, we can enjoy our beloved Cathy Rigby while she takes her final "bow."

History is taking place, folks. Embrace. Excite. Enjoy.

I love that video. It was all I would watch as a kid. And people would constantly try to point out the flying cables to me, but I could never see them.
