HAIR AUDITIONS/QUESTION

Hey,
I was just wondering about Hair. Still haven't gotten my CD in the mail, but i'm waiting...Anyways, is this a book musical or is just all the songs? Also, how is the set? Is there a set? Are the songs good, etc. Thanks, any input would be great. Trying to deciede if i wanna audition for this piece or not.

There is a book, but it's very sketchy, scattered, and pretty poor - but with good direction, it's brilliant.

The set could be very complex of next to nothing - it depends on the production. There's usually some sort of platforms/scaffolding involved in the back.

The songs are amazing!

And yes, you should definitely audition for this! I'm working on a production right now in nyc and it's a blast.

Okay, i might give it a try. I was hoping it'd get my recording in the mail by now so i could hear some of the songs, but oh well. Do they have any really good belty guy songs?
