Hi
I'm going to Paris next month and I've seen at the ticketnet.fr that there's a production of HAIR playing there. Does anybody knows if it's a good production?
Please let me know!
Thanks, kind regards

This new production of HAIR opens on January 20, 2009 in Paris so nobody knows what it's worth yet.
The cast is led by two of France's biggest musical theater stars, Fabian Richard ("Cabaret") and Laurent Ban (who dubbed Gerard Butler in the French version of "Phantom of the Opera").
Here's the link to the official site: http://www.hairmusical.fr/ and a video of the rehearsals can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvvILUJk9Rg

Wow I didn't know about this production.
Even if the show is crap, Fabian is amazing.

Thanks for the info!
Do you know anything about any other musical playing in France? I've read something about a show called CLEOPATRA... but I
don't know if it's any good... I know The Lion King is there, but I've seen it enough!
It could be a play also...
Thanks, kind regards

I recommend a straight-play.
French musical theatre really isn't anything special, but their straight plays really stand out among the rest.
Their opera is also pretty exceptional. Tickets for l'opera garnier are pretty cheap, and the seats are never that bad.

Grease is currently playing at Théatre Comédia in Paris, booking till February 1st.
Fame will also play near Paris on several dates in January/February, but not in the city itself.
I haven't seen the shows myself though, I'm just adding to the list to give you some options.
