Im going to Boston next week and was wondering if there were any rush tickets or possibly a lotto for the tour production of hair at the colony theater? if not anyone have any discount codes.....?
From the Broadway Across America- Boston Facebook page:
HAIR STUDENT RUSH UPDATE: ADVANCE Student Rush tickets are available for Tues-Thurs performances only. (you can purchase anytime during the week/day for those performances) Regular rush (arrive at the the theatre 1 hour before performance) is in effect Fri-Sun. $27 CASH.
Be advised: they DO check IDs, and they are strict on one per ID at the Colonial. Your seat will be selected from whatever's left--it will probably be in the front orchestra on the extreme side, as that's what I've gotten every time I've rushed a show in the Broadway-Across-America series.
Actually, my friends got us advance student rush on Saturday and they allowed 2 per ID. Don't know if this will change since they updated the policy today- as of last week they were saying it was all advance rush.
Also, I've heard a lot of the rush seats have been in the mezzanine for this production. On Saturday we were given rear orchestra on the side, and they were great seats.
I got a Student Rush ticket for the Opening Night performance of Hair here in Boston last week. My seat was 'Center Mezzanine Row B'. It was a PERFECT VIEW! The show is great and you are going to LOVE it!
I did rush seats when I saw this in Arizona. My city does advance student rush tickets for whatever is unsold the day of the show. It is such a great deal. I am actually not renewing my season tickets this year, because I have always gotten great seats for 50% off with the rush.

I am seeing it tomorrow from the mezz, so I will let you know! On Saturday night not a ton of people went onstage for the curtain call...people seemed like they didn't know what to make of it. Kacie Sheik looked so excited when my friends and I started heading down the aisle, she practically dragged us onstage.
Yes, the tribe member do come up to the mezzanine. They are up there a few times during the show actually. I got both a flower and a flier for the "be-in" on the mezzanine It is a great view for this show.

When I saw it, the two guys sitting next to me in the mezzanine went downstairs and went up on stage. So no, you don't have to be sitting in the orchestra to go up onto stage during the curtain call.
