The first time I saw HAIRSPRAY in New York, I was sitting in the orchestra left, first row, aisle seat. Jackie Hoffman passes between or row and the stage to make an entrance onto the stage during the second act. Well, she happened to step on my foot, which led to a nice, 45-second conversation we had in front of the entire audience. I felt special.
I also, being ignorant, thought for a while that she was Fraun (sp?) from the Austin Powers movies.
