HAIRSPRAY on Livin' It Up

HAIRSPRAY performed on teh new morning talk show Livin' It Up this morning.. pleased to see they did something new.. I Can Hear The Bells (albeit with just Tracy, Link, Penny and the Ensemble).

Kathy was wonderful.. I just adore her. they even interviewed her afterward (out of costume). Is it just me or does Matt Morrison look substantially older lately? I enjoy Matt, but he isn't as great in my mind as Link as he once was. I am not a fan of the glasses on Penny and I wish they would have spent a bit more time with the camera on Penny as she wonders around aimlessly trying to hear the bells. Irrelivant though it mat be, I was glad to see they had teh original style 'brenda' wig on Michelle Kittrell as opossed to the bob she wore on teh Today Show. Is it possible for her to take over Penny when Jenn Gabatese leaves please? John Jeffrey Martin looked VERY different in the Fender glasses and hair. Todd Michel smith.. treat to see as always.

and as always.. must comment about two personal faves.. shoshana Bean and Adam fleming.. GOD I wish I could see them as Link and Tracy together! These two are so underappreciated by the general public.

I thought Kathy did a great job. She has a beautiful voice, but the costume doesn't do her justice. She's very pretty, but not in that costume. I wish it was her voice on the cast recording.
And, she's from Staten Island, which I didn't know. lol I like hearing when people are from the same boring place as me, but have made it out. It gives me hope.
