Posted: 2/18/04 at 12:12pmWell, it seems that my suggestion that it might be interesting to see Mandy Patinkin in "Fiddler" met with an almost unanimous "ugh." So...what about Harvey Fierstein as "Tevye?" Or...even as "Golde?" He could alternate roles during the week. Or play both simultaneously. Or perhaps be Idina's star replacement! Kristin has one, why not Idina? And look at that, if both gals are out, you get two Hairspray stars reunited in the Land of Oz.

Posted: 2/19/04 at 4:26pmI agree 100% HoldmeB, as a matter of fact if there was more distance from his leaving Hairspray and Fiddler opening I'd of said they should of pleaded with him to do it, he or his energy is what the production is kind of lacking at present.
