It's not terribly depressing.
It's not about her being sad. It's almost a therapy session - extremely fulfilling, cathartic, thoughtful, and beautiful. I didn't leave depressed at all.

Posted: 5/29/07 at 1:45pmIf anything, you leave believing in the power of the human spirit to overcome. It's not any more depressing than the book. Actually there are several places in the show where the audience laughs because there ARE funny parts.

Posted: 5/29/07 at 3:00pmBSoBw, there was a thread not too long ago in which someone mentioned that the actual filming of CAROLINE, OR CHANGE never actually happened though there were definitely talks to film and release it on HBO. Plans fell through before the footage could be filmed. How happy I would have been with a CAROLINE, OR CHANGE DVD...oh well.
