Hi,
My mom and I are going to be coming to NYC Dec. 13-16. This is the first trip was have done on our own. Usuaully we just go on bus trips but thought we could do it alone. I just have a few questions I was hoping to get some help with. First, I was wondering what the crowds were going to be like at this time of year? We have done a lot of the major touristy stuff but we would like to go to Natural History Museum, NY Aquarium, and a few other little things. Any suggestions??
Next question, I have already checked on tickets for the Radio City Music Hall Christmas show and are planning on seeing that. Now I am looking at maybe 2-3 other broadway shows to see. We haven't seen: The Color Purple, Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid, Curtains, Mary Poppins, Rent, Spring Awakening, Young Frankenstein, Xanadu, Spelling Bee, Drowsy Chaperone, or Grease. What shows would I have luck getting tickets to once we got there at TKTS or the actual theaters? What shows do people recommend, or what shows do you think I can get decent seats to? We don't have to sit in the orchestra, but we don't want to be a mile away from the stage either. What is mezz. and balcony seating like for the shows I listed like?
I apologize for all of my questions but I know a lot of people in here live in the city or get to go a lot more frequently than me. I probably should have planned this a lot earlier this year but oh well. Any help that anyone could give to me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
