HELP: Travel time from Grand Central to the Public for SEE WHAT I WANNA SEE

hey guys-

I'm catching a train into NYC tomorrow that gets into Grand Central around 1:09. Should I be ok to make it to the Public by about 1:40? Should I take a cab or take the 6 to Astor Place?

any help would be MUCH appreciated.

The 6 to astor place from grand central will not take very long. 15 minutes at most. Astor Place station is right across from the theater...very close.
Use your cab fare on something else. perhaps a coffee at the astor place starbucks?
