Apologies if this has been posted already--but I really want to see HIR at Playwrights Horizons. I heard about this show during its out of town tryout and it sounded fascinating. Has anyone here seen it? Thoughts?

I saw it in San Francisco and quite loved it. It's wildly ambitious, and that's remarkable considering it's also the most traditional (or at least traditionally-framed), well-made play from Mac. It's a riotous, entertaining, and moving exploration of gender, specifically masculinity.
The SF cast, led by Nancy Opel, was wonderful. And the NY cast looks great.

I'll echoe the sentiments raised above. I really enjoyed it myself. It's undoubtedly a very strange play. And at times, very awkward and bizarre. But the sheer ridiculousness was somehow charming. Not to mention the stellar performance by Nancy Opel.
