How about this scenario:
A young theatre/theater lover goes to see shows two, three, four times a week. Lives to see shows, and collect the memorabilia and autographs of all his/her favorite celebrities. This goes on for years. A short time after moving away from home, our young hero/heroine comes home from seeing MILLIE for the 60th time to find an eviction notice on their apartment door for non-payment of rent. (By the way this young’un has only seen RENT 47 ½ times…second acted it once.) What’s a fan to do? “How am I gonna pay my back rent?” it cries. Then a friend is overheard saying how awful it was for people to sell autographs and personal photos on e-bay, that yes, you can make a gob of money doing so, but is it right?
“Hmmm,” thinks our little friend, “A person has to have a roof over their heads, don’t they?” So…
Bernadette Peter’s Autograph on a GYPSY playbill: $55.00
Sutton Foster on a MILLIE playbill: $22.50
Rosie O’Donnell’s signature on a GREASE playbill: $00.35
Place to live: Priceless.
There is no place like home!
The End.
Maybe this should be posted on that PLOT thread.
PEACE.
