Hair Benefit/Julia Murney question

Was Julia Murney originally supposed to sing Easy to Be Hard at the Hair Benefit concert? I know she sang it at Broadway in Bryant Park. The Black Boys/White Boys trios were different in Bryant Park too. I know Aisha DeHaas sang in White Boys. Did they just take people from the concert and give them these random songs to sing at Bryant Park? Or did the songs and cast change as the concert drew closer? When was Jennifer Hudson added to the cast and given Easy to Be Hard?
