Hey everyone

New to the site. Love musicals. Part of my dissertation is about musicals, and I have a question I'm hoping SOMEONE might be able to answer so I can finish this chapter!!!

Before Hairspray opened in 2002, the publicist or production team sent out a sampler of songs from the show, including "Good Morning, Baltimore" and "Welcome to the 60s".

I'm trying to find out the names of the singers who recorded those renditions (as well as, tho less importantly, the studio producer.) I'm pretty sure it was not Winokur and Fierstein. Does anyone remember hearing those recordings? and if so, might you know the names of the performers? I was a journalist back in those days so I got a load of press stuff that I haven't kept...once I burned the disc to my iTunes, I think I gave the disc to a friend who I can't contact now...so HELP? If you think there's another place I could post this, that might be helpful as well!

If you know of what I speak, I'd LOVE to hear from you. You can email me at the address provided above. Thanks SO much.

Annie Golden sings 'Good Morning Baltimore', Nathan Lane performs as Edna and Wilbur, and Shoshana Bean sings 'Welcome to the 60's'. That's all I know. Any chance you can send me a copy via PM?

They/them. "Get up the nerve to be all you deserve to be."
