The Neil Simon is gootimate theatre seating just over 1400.
The Gershwin is an airplne hanger with seats. It is ugly and seats over 1900, so if you are in the back of the mezz, you feel it.

Posted: 10/4/03 at 10:01pmWhy would anyone want to sit in Rear Mezzanine? They are nose bleed seats.

Posted: 10/5/03 at 12:12amThe first time I saw Hairspray I was in the second to last row in the mezz and you can see everything just fine. I have seen show where you can't see anything this isn't one of them. I liked it just as much there as I did sitting in the last row of the Orch. You wont be disappointed you don't miss anything really just If you having seen it before be aware to look down to the right side of the stage in the audience a few times during the last scene and you wont miss anything.

Posted: 10/5/03 at 4:52pmI saw Hairspray from rear mezzanine- Row R center, and it was a great view. You can see from anywhere- so get your butt over there and see the show!

BroadwayLady,
There are many of us who sit in the nosebleed seats because we choose not to pay almost $100/ticket to sit in the better ones. Binoculars help.

Posted: 10/5/03 at 8:21pmWhen I bought my tickets for Wicked, I didn't care that they were $100.00 a pop. I want to see the show and see it from the best place possible. Now if it weren't a show I was THAT interested in or so excited to see then I'd be fine in the bellfry.
