How is the tour for Hairspray shaping up? Who's being cast in the various roles? Is there any buzz yet?

wow, i haven't of or seen any of these people, save for Jacqueline B. Arnold in Falsettos and Rent.

Does anyone have a scoop on anyone? have they seen or heard these actors?

I think it's great to get lesser known actors, and give them a chance!

Austin's done a lot of those LA Encore things, including one of the younger leads in FOLLIES, and he's done soap opera, according to that thread...the rest of the names I don't know.

I guess it's going to be an interesting tour. I'm looking forward to it! I can't remember offhand the date it comes into San Francisco, but I'm looking forward to it just the same.
