Hairspray Tour - Cast Name Changes?

I was on the tour's website (the new non-eq. tour) and noticed that the Dynamites now have names (Cindy, Peaches, etc.) Is this something new? Having seen the show on Broadway many times, I have never noticed names like this. Is this something they had to do in order to comply with non-eq guidelines?
I was confused when I saw it.

The Dynamites have always had names. They just aren't listed in the Playbill.... The Non-Equity tour, for whatever reason, has elected to list the names for each of those characters.. as well mispell a character name or two.

Using the orignal Broadway cast, the Dynamites have ALWAYS been --

Peaches - Kamilah Martin
Cindy Watkins - Judine Richard (now Sommerville)
Pearl - Shayna Steele
