Hairspray Tour in Boston - 10/4 & 10/5
#0Hairspray Tour in Boston - 10/4 & 10/5
Posted: 10/6/05 at 5:45pmI will post a full review when I don't have as much homework, but I did Student Rush for opening night and the day after in Boston. Opening night I got Row I center and Wed. night got Row O, Box left (which wasn't bad really), but then moved up to Row E on the left orch which wasn't bad at all. Anyways, the cast members showed a lot of energy, and I enjoyed everything! I might check it out a third time before the cast leaves Boston. Anyways, it might have been just me, but it seemed that the audience was more into it Wednesday night than opening night. J.P. Dougherty was hilarious! And Keala Settle...what a voice, I liked her Tracy! I will post a more in-depth review later as I said.

Posted: 10/8/05 at 12:59pmHow much was the rush price and how early should you get there. Also, is rush only available to students when it comes to national tours?

Rush tix in Boston are $25, and go onsale one hour before curtain. I don't know what time is best to get there for Hairspray, but if you get there 20-30 mins before they go onsale, you are guaranteed a seat. I've even got there 15 mins late (for The Producers) and still got orchestra seats. And, the program is just for students in Boston, one ticket per ID.
Other cities may have different policies, your best bet is to call the tour stop closest to you!
