I'm seeing Hairspray Wednesday evening with my friend's daughter. I love to stagedoor, she could take it or leave it. Problem is she has mid-terms the next morning. I'm thinking that I'll just give it up and get her home asap but couldn't help but ask . . . anyone know about how long it takes most of that cast to come out? If they come out quick I may have a shot, but if they take forever . . . well then that just wouldn't be fair to this poor girl.

Thanks!

Maybe some of that green is gonna come off! -Deodorant Elphie. No body likes a stinky witch! -I think we've covered the hair, we'll get to that. -Clean underclothes. That's all I'm gonna say. -Look at your posture. That's no way to be popular! -Bed made, room straightened. We've done that. -Colors blended. Oookay. -But the most important thing to have, to make yourself popular, is to keep your beautiful smile." ~Kristin Chenoweth in her last performance of the song "Popular"

I think allowing 30 minutes is reasonable.

Well I was at the Jersey Boys stagedoor last night which is right across the street and I left at around 6:05 and there were still tons of people at the Hairspray stagedoor. I'm assuming they were all waiting for Ashley.

Unless it is a special night (final performance, celebrity visit, etc.), most cast members leave within 15 minutes after curtain, especially the ensemble members.

Thanks guys . . . I don't usually wait at a stagedoor more than 30 minutes anyway, but thought I remembered Hairspray being a little quicker (15-20 minutes). Guess we'll just see how it goes. Truth is if we try to leave the minute the show is over there will be a line to get the car out of the garage and traffic will be a little worse b/c of all the shows letting out so waiting 15-20 minutes may actually help us. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it! lol

When I was at Hairspray over Thanksgiving weekend they came out very quickly, withint 15 minutes and it was well worth the wait!

You have a very good point there, NJRae.
I usually take public transportation so I don't think of that.

Lol, I'm not sure if it is totally accurate, but my friend won't know that! re: Hairspray stagedoor

Do you guys have any sense of whether most of the cast comes out after the matinee performances?

They did toward the end of the summer, certainly. All of them, too. So I think there's a good chance.
