Halloween...?

It's kind o0f early to talk about Halloween but...Did anyone ever dress up as there favorite character from a B'Way show for Halloween before? I don't dress up anymore but today I was at the store and I saw Roxie Hart & Billy Flynn costumes!

I was thinking it would be cool to create Avenue Q puppet costumes--wonder if anyone will for the Halloween parade?

Edna Turnblad would be a good one!

LOL!!! In that case, I wouldn't mind dressing up as Rod, then. I am thinking Tracy Turnblad would be a good costume. I would dress up as Motormouth, since I already sing all her songs anyway....lol. One Halloween, I dressed up as a Warlock. I think I'll go as Micheal Myers this Halloween, though.

Of course! Every year I try to do my favorite theatre diva of the momment. Some of the best costumes I've made were Norma Desmond & Hedwig. A few years ago, my lover and I were Daisy and Violet from Side Show. Last year, we did Edna & Tracy from Hairspray. This year, we're doing Roxie & Velma, and have been busy for the past few months making the dresses and long coats from the film's finale..... i'm seeing fringe and bugle-beads in my sleep!!!!

I joined a club at my college and they do work around the community and we are doing several different Halloween parties for different groups. They want us all to dress up so I'm being Penny I'm so excited I found material kind of close to the dress she wears during "without love" so I made the dress and I got glasses now all I need is to figure out the hair. Either die mine or wear a wig that doesn't really look like Penny's hair But it's a red 60's style wig. I don't know. But yup I'm excited lol

PS my friend is going to be Tracy the one who's in the picture of me and Clark and me and Matt on my Fan photos.

Halloween...?

I was Velma a few years ago for Halloween -- my friend was Roxie.

This year I'm going to the costume party at the bar where I work as Annie from Chicago. Sad thing is, I don't have to buy anything for this costume -- it's made up of clothes I already own and it's dead on balls accurate lol

If I go out to a party after WICKED I'm going as Princess Amneris in her "Strongest Suit" scene. I have the dress, the shoes...And a wig of long curly hair. Fun times.

Me and my friends were going to dress up like the RENT characters, but nobody wanted to portray Angel...I guess we could have done it with his/her maroon jacket and jeans. If I would dress up here, nobody would no who I was. "What are you supposed to be?"

re: Halloween...?

I was teaching at another school a few years ago and a group of teachers and students decided to dress up as characters from PETER PAN. A very petite young man (I think he was a Senior) was Peter, I was Cap't Hook, a very large math teacher was Smee, students were Wendy, Michael and John--and a very large Hispanic student was Tinkerbell (she had a ball walking around all day in a tutu and spreading pixie dust all over the place--it was a riot!) "Peter" and I staged a duel in one of the stairwells during luch period.

Anyhow, I'd gone the full route, renting a costume and a black Restoration wig to go with it. I also made myself up with arched eybrows and a vile beauty mark. In short, I really looked like the character. I decided to wear the costume on the drive home and show my neighbors how nicely it turned out. Well, of course, my car broke down on the Meadowbrook Parkway and I had to get out and call for help. No one seemed willing to aid Cap't Hook!--although at that point I had taken the hook off because it was difficult to drive with it. Ultimately my car was towed and I was taken to a car rental shop, where the clerk who took care of me was dressed as a pirate.

Ah...Halloween!

One year I planned to go as Eponine, but I never pulled through with it. I'm quite lazy when it comes to Halloween costumes.

A friend of mine did the Museum outfit that Amneris wore in AIDA. She won 1st prize. Can I tell you we folded that freakin fabric and sewed it. It took us like 50 hours and it was worth it.

I usually try and go as something cute and fun so guys will hit on me.... never happens tho. re: re: re: Halloween...?
