Im sure this is a repeat (and probably inane) question, but am planning to see Hamilton either around December 16-20th or in January any time.  Unfortunately missed Lin but saw it in October on a matinee day sans Javier Munoz.  Would really like to increase the odds of seeing it on a night when he's there in my selection.  Reading the boards, it seems he's been off lately, but any thoughts as to either of those date ranges with respect to his being in the cast that night(s)?  Thinking principal cast members may be taking some time off for the holidays but equally uncertain as to how much longer he'll be in the role.

thanks everyone for your patience with a newbie to this board which is AWESOME!

Welcome to the boards, laurieb! Hamilton Cast Question

First of all, it's very unlikely that multiple principal cast members would be taking their holiday breaks in December. January through March (after the holidays) is generally the most common time for Broadway performers to take the week off, so I wouldn't expect anybody to be out due to vacation. I obviously can't speak to illness or injury.

With regard to Javi specifically, really, nobody can tell ya. He's missed at least the last 15 consecutive performances, some due to preplanned filming/work absences, others due to his illness or injury or whatever. Honestly, he's probably the least reliable performer on Broadway you can expect in terms of attendance, so I wouldn't hold your breath. Sorry!

Either way, for what it's worth as I'm sure you know, the show is the star. It'll be great regardless!

Totally 100 percent agree about the show -- the minute it was over we were hurting for the next time.  I literally cant run in C Park anymore without tearing up when I pass the Ham statue.

That said- thanks very much for the incredibly helpful advice- helps tremendously

My pleasure! Also, there's a longstanding thread on here about Hamilton principal cast replacements/announcements that you can check in on every now and then. Somebody usually posts if there's an announced vacation or something in there Hamilton Cast Question

thanks and yes-- I have read all 147 pages of it . :), which is what prompted me to try to narrow it to my specific timing tissue which is somewhat time-sensitive. thanks so much again.
