Does anyone know when the alternate hamilton (Joseph Morales) goes on in Chicago? I have tickets for a Sunday night performance, but I'm a big American Idiot fan, and hoping to catch Miguel Cervantes if possible.

I recently saw Hamilton in Chicago on 9/10/17. According to my Playbill, At Sunday performances the role of Alexander Hamilton will be played by Joseph Morales. Most Sundays Hamilton has only a matinee performance, but I imagine Morales will also play the title role on the rare Sunday evening performance.

Many thanks guys, I ended up calling ticketmaster and they were able to switch my tickets to Saturday so I can catch Miguel! Really looking forward to seeing his take on Ham.

When I got my ticket for the 10/13/16 performance of Hamilton, I was really looking forward to seeing Cervantes because I was impressed with him in earlier shows. He did not disappoint me -- he was outstanding, very different from Lin-Manuel, who I was fortunate enough to have seen at the Public. Have a great time! (I'm sure you will). BTW Morales was excellent also.

Just saw Hamilton in Chicago tonight. To be honest, I was worried that this production might somehow diminish my memories of the show, which is my favorite show of all time and was lucky enough to see with most of the original Broadway cast (it was when when Jonathan Groff was out for a month to film the Looking finale movie and I saw Andrew Rannells who isn’t exactly chopped liver) two years ago. If anything, this show enhanced my appreciation of the show and memories of it. I cried intermittently through the whole show. A lot more than when I saw it initially. A lady that was sitting behind me actually tapped me on the shoulder afterwards and said she appreciated my passion for the show. I was lucky enough to meet some of the cast after the show at stage door and thank them and tell them that they did the original Broadway cast so proud. I was also able to tell them that when the show debuted on Broadway two years ago it felt like a natural progression of having Barack Obama as our president. Now the show feels urgent and so necessary in our current political times. They agreed. And of course I cried some more. The man who played Lee even hugged me. They were gracious to pose for pictures with me and signed my program and Playbill. This was one of the best nights of my entire life. And, yes, Cervantes and the rest of the cast were all superb.
