Does anyone have any recent experience with the Hamilton cancellation line in Chicago? My daughter and I are going soon and want to get cancellation tickets but want to figure out what time the line usually starts. Any insights or advice is appreciated!

Hi Lisa- your best bet is to call the the Private Bank box office and ask. I live in Chicago and walk past the theater almost every day, I have never seen an out the door cancellation line. They might have a different process from the Broadway production. I did check the Broadway in Chicago site though and I found this:
"Even if the performance is sold out there may be tickets released just before show time. If tickets become available, they will start to be released two hours prior to the curtain for that performance. Only those who want to attend the performance will be allowed to purchase tickets. For those that wish to wait in line for “standby tickets,” there are no tents or chairs allowed in line; patrons may not swap out or hold places in line."
So it doesn't sound like the cancellation line is an all day thing like it is in NY. Also, not sure if you know but BWW has a Chicago message board https://www.broadwayworld.com/chicago/board/index.php you might find more helpful tips from people in Chicago there. Good luck!
